1. Using the app

By using BDA Duty, you agree to these terms. You may use the app for your personal, lawful calculation of estimated customs duty. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

2. Estimates, not an official assessment

Calculations depend on the information you enter and the rates and allowances configured in the app. Customs rules, exemptions, exchange rates and charges may change or vary with your circumstances. We do not guarantee that an estimate is complete, current or accurate.

BDA Duty is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Bermuda Government or Bermuda Customs. It does not submit a customs declaration or pay duty on your behalf. Bermuda Customs determines the final amount payable.

3. Your responsibility

Please check your entries, keep your receipts and confirm current requirements with Bermuda Customs. You remain responsible for accurately declaring your goods and paying any duty or other charges due. The app is for general information and is not legal, tax or customs advice.

4. Privacy policy

This policy covers BDA Duty (also known as Bermuda Duty), provided by NWIMAGEZ. It describes the version 1.2 app, including travellers, estimated currency conversion, and sharing.

Trip data stays on your device

Your purchases, traveller count, estimated exchange rates, and refresh timestamp are saved locally on your device. BDA Duty does not require an account, send this information to NWIMAGEZ servers, or collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking data. NWIMAGEZ does not sell your trip data.

Estimated exchange rates

Currency conversion uses preloaded illustrative rates. The refresh in version 1.2 is simulated and does not contact a currency service. Refreshing does not send your purchases or other trip information over the network.

Sharing is your choice

If you choose to share a trip, the app prepares a text summary and, optionally, a PDF. You choose the recipient or destination in the iOS share sheet. That destination receives the information you choose to share and handles it under its own privacy policy. NWIMAGEZ does not receive a copy through the app. Temporary PDFs are removed when the share sheet is dismissed.

Deleting and managing your information

You can edit or delete individual purchases. Clear Trip removes purchases and resets the traveller count; estimated rates and their timestamp remain saved. iOS controls app removal, device backups, and restoration. Apple services operate under Apple’s own privacy terms.

When you contact support

If you email Neil at apps@nwimagez.com, NWIMAGEZ receives your email address and the information you include so we can respond and help with your request. Please avoid sending sensitive purchase details. Our email provider processes support messages as part of delivering email. You may use the same address to ask about a support message or request its deletion, subject to any records we must retain.

Website and third-party services

This app privacy policy does not describe the practices of Apple, destinations you select for sharing, or third-party websites. Visiting this support website may involve technical request information processed by its hosting provider to deliver and secure the pages. This is separate from the app’s local trip storage.

5. Availability and responsibility for loss

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We aim to make it useful, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation or error-free calculations. To the extent permitted by law, NWIMAGEZ is not responsible for losses, additional duty, penalties or other costs arising from reliance on an estimate or inability to use the app. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Apple App Store terms

Your use of the app is also subject to the applicable Apple App Store terms and the end-user licence agreement supplied with the app. Where no custom licence is supplied, Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement applies. These terms supplement that licence and do not replace it.

7. Updates and questions
