Help with BDA Duty, the NWIMAGEZ app for organising trip purchases and estimating duty when returning to Bermuda.
Email apps@nwimagez.com for app support or privacy questions. Include your app version, device model, iOS version, and a short description of what happened. Please leave sensitive purchase details out of screenshots and emails.
Purchases and travellers
Tap + to add a purchase, or tap an existing purchase to edit it. Swipe left to delete an item. Tap the Travellers row or person-plus button to choose 1 to 10 travellers. The displayed allowance is $300 per traveller.
Currency estimates
Choose USD, CAD, or GBP when entering a purchase. Review the estimated USD total before saving. Purchases are stored in USD; existing purchases open in USD when edited.
Version 1.2 uses illustrative rates, and refresh is simulated. It is not a live market feed. A refresh does not change the stored USD value of previous purchases.
Sharing a trip
Tap Share in the bottom toolbar. Choose a text summary or a text summary with PDF, then choose a destination in the iOS share sheet. If a destination cannot accept a PDF, try the text summary or save the PDF to Files.
Local data and resetting a trip
No account is required. Trip information is stored on your device. Clear Trip asks for confirmation, removes purchases, and resets travellers to one. Estimated rates and the refresh timestamp stay saved. Your device’s backup and restore settings are managed by iOS.
If something is not working
Close and reopen the app, then check that you have installed the intended app version. If the issue continues, email Neil with the steps that caused it and any error message. Keep a separate record of important receipts and purchase information.
About duty calculations
The app uses its displayed allowance and duty rate to provide an estimate. It is not affiliated with Bermuda Customs and does not submit declarations or pay duty. Confirm current requirements with Bermuda Customs before relying on an estimate.
